Government Structure
The City of Silex operates under a Mayor-Board of Aldermen form of government. This structure ensures that both legislative and executive functions are balanced, with a focus on community representation and accountability.

The Mayor serves as the chief executive officer, presiding over board meetings and ensuring city ordinances are enforced.

All meetings of the Board of Aldermen are conducted in accordance with Robert’s Rules of Order and are subject to the Missouri Sunshine Law (RSMo 610). We believe that public participation is vital to a healthy democracy.
